Happy New Year from our firm to you! Let’s be proactive together in 2017 and sack the IRS by getting organized and executing the plan. (See a listing of tax filing deadlines at the bottom of this post.)
Getting Organized
If you are a client of the firm, tax season will proceed as follows:
Week of January 2:
Email with an invitation to our new client portal. Please note that the portal invite will come from tax-planning@CPAinDFW.com. We will deliver your tax returns to you via our portal instead of email. This will allow you to have access to your tax returns at all times. We will load your prior year tax returns to the portal for your availability as well.
Week of January 16:
Email from us with a request list of items we will need to prepare your tax return (this list will be based on your previous year’s tax return and discussions throughout the year)
Week of January 23:
Email/phone call to schedule when your information will be ready for us to prepare your tax return(s). We will also schedule when we will complete your tax return as well.
February 27:
Corporate tax return information is due to our office. In order for us to prepare and file your corporate tax return by March 15, we will need to have all of the information in our office by this date. Otherwise, we will extend the corporate tax return.
March 10:
All corporate tax returns will be completed and filed by this date.
March 27:
